The increased use of road humps in traffic calming schemes sometimes creates drainage problems. A road hump can act as a dam and create embarrassing lakes. If gaps are left to maintain gutter continuity these present a hazard to pedestrians who like to cross at road humps.
The Kinghurst Bypass Kerb addresses this problem by removing a section of the existing kerb and replacing it with a duct which collects the rainwater on one side of the hump, diverts it past the obstacle and returns it to the gutter once the hump has been passed.
Maintain channel continuity with the Nib Nobbler. When nibs or build outs are constructed they obstruct channels and create drainage problems. If gaps are left pedestrian can fall into them. When no provision is made flooding often occurs.

The Rowsander Path Pipe can be cut on site to overcome numerous problems. The cut end can be dressed to match any kerb profile. They can be laid in all types of footpath surface. Flaggers love them, as they provide a straight edge to work with.
Providing kerb to kerb crossings obstructs channels.The small height change of the crossings makes ducting through them impractical and creating gullies is often expensive. The solution is The Brumshunt.
This unit diverts the water through the kerb to the back of the footpath passing under the wearing course and any tactile paving before returning the water to the channel after the crossing has been passed.
More intense rainfall is a growing issue for Highways Designers. There has been a significant increase in the use of kerbs with inlets in their faces. These kerbs are an excellent solution when there is enough depth to install them and a main drainage system is convenient. If you are on a bridge deck or another site with restricted depth they are of limited use.
If there are no drains to discharge into they do not solve the problem. In those cases we offer The Flood Gobbler. This steel unit collects rainwater and either removes it to a drainage system or returns it to the road at a more convenient location without it going below road level.
